Join us for a fabulous evening of opera and revelry in a cabaret style setting, featuring seven short works — including three brand new commissions and world-premieres!
Boston New Music Initiative (BNMI) is thrilled to be involve with the third annual Opera Bites at the Longy School of Music of Bard College. Several of the pieces on this year’s program were chosen through our open call for scores, and six of the seven pieces will be accompanied by BNMI’s resident instrument ensemble.
This year’s set of 10-minute operas includes composers Oliver Caplan, Tom Cipullo, Eva Kendrick, Carrie Magin, Tony Solitro, Beth Ratay and David Wolfson.
Enjoy a delicious program of bite-sized opera — performed in English and accompanied by a small instrumental ensemble — along with festive food and drink!
